When I first welcomed a Whippet into my life, I quickly learned two things:
- They have the most elegant, graceful stride.
- They also shiver at the first hint of a chill.
I searched for a coat that would keep my Whippet warm without restricting her natural movement. Nothing I found truly worked — most designs rubbed, slipped, or simply weren’t made for the unique shape of a Whippet.
So, I decided to make my own. And that’s how The Whippet Coats was born.
Handmade in Scotland with Whippets in Mind
Every coat I make is cut, sewn, and finished by hand here in Scotland. I select fabrics for both warmth and wearability — from soft, insulating fleece to waterproof outer layers for rainy walks.
Because Whippets and sighthounds have such slender frames and deep chests, they need a coat tailored to their shape. My designs hug their curves without bunching or flapping, letting them run at full speed without any restriction.
